Role Overview:

The Collaborative Business Unit Lead is a pivotal role to support the Collaborative Business Units continued growth with exceptional delivery of Medical Educational programmes. The Lead will shape and optimise our Medthority solutions to ensure we meet our commitment to provide healthcare professionals with high quality medical education using our website Medthority.

A high-profile role, the Business Unit lead will be responsible for the overall performance of the Collaborative Business Unit. This includes sales, revenue, forecasting and resource coordination. Working with other IQVIA Medical Affairs solutions this role will redefine online medical education for healthcare professionals.

The person will have an in-depth knowledge of our Medthority solutions and be a thought leader in the industry. Setting new standards for Medical Education, Medthority will be the new benchmark and exceed the expectations of both pharmaceutical customers and healthcare professionals. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the strategy and tactics to meet the overall EPG Health business objectives, sales and revenue targets
  • Work closely with the Medical Affairs Sales Specialist team to forecast, plan and resource the pipeline and regularly communicate the pipeline to the Business, Business Unit, Programme Success Group (PSG), and operations to support resource and capacity management
  • Lead and communicate the account strategy to the Business Unit and PSG
  • Manage forecast, pipelines and other critical information required to achieve revenue targets
  • Plan, monitor, and analyse key metrics that will inform performance metrics for sponsored programmes and implement changes aligned to key performance metrics, as required
  • Continue to build a high functioning team and provide training to the Business Unit and the Medical Affairs Sales Specialist Team, as needed
  • Ensure that programme objectives are clear and understood across the PSG
  • Ensure that processes and procedures are followed across the PSG to facilitate delivery within agreed costs and timelines
  • Understand pharmaceutical medical education requirements and develop Medical Education solutions for the modern-day healthcare professional
  • Support with the development and enhancement of proposals/submission decks/documents for successful proposals and increased win ratio
  • Establish and maintain informal relationships with top Pharma accounts and contacts
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of reporting and project reconciliation to the funding entity where required
  • Inform platform team of technical solutions that can enhance the Medthority offering
  • Be available to support with challenges and issues that might arise with delivery
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with the PSGs and cross functional teams
  • Adhere to the company's policies and standards, and ensure that laws and regulations are followed

Qualifications and skills:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical sales and needs 
  • Industry thought leader
  • In depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical pipeline analysis
  • Masterful organisational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success
  • Good knowledge of Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences industry, production, finance, and employee management
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines
  • 5+ years selling to pharmaceutical institutions with proven background in delivering complex projects and achieving targets
  • Master’s science degree (or equivalent) 
  • Experience in sales, budgets, and business plans
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics
