The IQVIA Data Management and Analysis team (DMA) is part of the market-leading Contract Performance Solutions group which helps manufacturers with all aspects of government and commercial drug rebate programs. We create value for our clients by analyzing and validating pharmaceutical claims for payment and providing industry leading knowledge about drug rebate programs in the US.

Our team acquires, standardizes, and analyzes large amounts of drug rebate claim data either for use in multiple proprietary end user software or for ad-hoc analysis projects. We support manufactures by providing deep insight into claims data that help Manufactures avoid overpayment on invoices as well as provide Manufacturers with innovative data solutions that help our clients gain insight into prescriber and pharmacy activity.

The Data Management and Analysis team at IQVIA recruits individuals with degrees from some of the world’s top institutions. As a new hire, you will be provided on-the-job-training that will allow you to develop the skills and knowledge needed to successfully work with the most comprehensive set of US healthcare data assets in the world. The knowledge you gain through training and shadowing other team members will allow you to contribute to a variety of projects the team is working on.

Position Overview:

The Sr. Analyst position on the Data Management team supports internal and external clients with data sourcing, data load, analysis projects, and in the creation of deliverables related to the HRSA 340B program. The data analyst should be comfortable working within a team environment or on their own depending on the deliverable. Exceptional communication skills in English are critical to the success of our team as we often need to translate technical language to non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams at IQVIA
  • Train/Educate clients on Commercial, Medicaid and 340B drug regulations 
  • Perform analysis on data that is acquired by IQVIA or our client
  • Identify issues with systems/processes and proposes solutions or improvements
  • Manipulate and transform data to optimize analyses
  • Complete various ad-hoc deliverables for clients that meet specifications given by client
  • Work with the business development team to ensure current client satisfaction and help with demos and proofs of concept as needed
  • Researches, analyzes, and responds to clients, which may require an in-depth understanding of the client, specific business line, and/or therapeutic market
  • Work on multiple projects at the same time

An ideal candidate will have some or all of the following:

  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid Drug Rebate Program
  • Knowledge of HRSA 340B program
  • Knowledge of Commercial Pharmaceutical data
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of two years of related work experience with a drug manufacturer, State Medicaid rebate group, PBM, Payer, or Retail pharmacy.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Collaborate well with others, including internal and external team members
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management, organization, and time management skills
  • Must be flexible and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment and multi-task with little supervision
  • Intermediate T-SQL querying abilities (Multiple Joins, Case Statements, Sub-Queries, Stored Procedures, etc.)
  • Experience in querying big data such as HADOOP
  • Comfort acting as a resource for other team members
