Job Overview

  • Direct the sales related activities for IQVIA Information Management technology solutions, driving new business at new and existing accounts in the Pre-Commercial Pharma segment.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as a strategic, enterprise technology sales executive; focus on value-based selling by understanding clients’ business needs and mapping the appropriate IQVIA Information Management technology and services to address these needs
  • Present IQVIA’s overall value proposition, with a primary focus on Information Management technologies
  • Proactively build deep and strategic relationships at high levels within the account; C-suite level contacts with a specific focus on IT, Commercial Operations, and Data & Analytics executives
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure the execution of strategic account plans, including the development and implementation of qualitative and quantitative metrics for achieving account success
  • Focus on both acquiring new accounts and growing existing accounts; focus on assembling and leading the team to win large deals and meeting revenue and profit objectives
  • Utilize CRM to document actions regarding planning and sales activities, and share account intelligence with internal members on account strategy meetings
  • Act as a liaison between prospect/customer and IQVIA product, services, and delivery teams as necessary
  • Present sales opportunities to management and work with the internal departments/team members to close large complex deals
  • Lead the process for preparing responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and ensure they are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Keep up to date on industry trends, technology changes, new developments/services, and other general information related to the Pre-Commercial Pharma market
  • Recommend strategies to continuously strengthen competitive position in markets
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal accountability


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of enterprise technology sales experience with a focus on value-based selling of data management, analytics, and AI/ML technologies
  • Deep understanding of the Commercial Pharma market; Clinical experience and understanding of the product launch sequence a plus.
  • Proven track record of sales professionalism and success; ability to meet and or exceed assigned quotas on a consistent basis
  • Skilled in negotiations and enterprise sales techniques
  • Demonstrated success accessing client executives, developing and executing executive level presentations, and developing proposals to address clients’ needs
  • Ability to confidently interact with senior management and executives both internally and externally
  • Solid communication skills to present compelling presentations
  • Well-developed sense for our business; must be able to manage complexity and have the appropriate financial acumen to discuss ROI
