SENIOR EPIDEMIOLOGIST (Remote working based in Norway)

As part of Scientific Services, in the Global Database Studies (GloDaSt) team we offer exposure to observational research projects with global reach. In your role, you will gain experience working on challenging studies in various therapeutic areas using large-scale patient-level databases and innovative study designs to answer diverse research questions.

  • Lead the conduct of global database studies, including planning study design, data sources and pharmacoepidemiological methods
  • Author protocols, study reports, and other scientific documents with independent and critical thinking to ensure completeness and quality of deliverables within estimated timelines
  • Review and provide relevant epidemiological input to all study documents including statistical analysis plan and analysis output
  • Provide scientific and methodological expertise in areas including observational study methods, statistical methods, the selection of data sources and measures to ensure studies meet project objectives and regulatory requirements, as applicable
  • Contribute to generating content and direction for business development proposals
  • Manage teams at the project level and/or as a line manager in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations
  • Provide appropriate levels of professional development and training including mentorship for junior staff


  • MPH, MSc or PhD (or an equivalent degree) in epidemiology, public health or a closely related scientific discipline, with sound methodological training in epidemiology or related public health area relevant to observational health research
  • Must speak English and Norwegian languages
  • Previous experience in utilizing global large-scale patient-level healthcare databases (claims, national registers, patient registers, etc.)
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals and abstracts (including presentations) in scientific conferences would be meriting
