Sr Data Scientist

Job Overview:
Under guidance, provides support in applying statistical methodologies to assigned research projects.

Essential Functions:
• Provides statistical methodology support in the delivery of standard and custom studies.
• Applies statistical design and methodology to meet client information needs, conducts statistical analyses to derive conclusions from the study and assists in preparing written summaries of study results.
• Works as part of a team in preparing analysis plans and statistical reports and performs validation of statistical analysis. Works on projects of limited scope within defined procedures and practices.
• Ability to carry out moderate analysis and information gathering to resolve problems on non-routine matters.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree Statistics, Mathematics, Bio-informatics or related field with minimum 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree Statistics, Mathematics, Bio-informatics or related field with min 5 years of relevant experience
•Technical knowledge/skills include: multivariate analysis, regression analysis, forecasting, probability and survey
sampling
•Knowledge of Python (or R), SQL and big data tools such as Cloudera, Spark and Hadoopis required.

•Knowledge of SAS programming language on multiple an asset.

•Understanding and experience of classical machine learning and deep learning methods
•Proven ability to carry out complex level analyses and information gathering to resolve problems on non-routine matters
•Proven ability to program statistical methodologies according to specifications, with emphasis on quality control,
testing, and operational efficiencies
