We are looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Consultant with a lot of natural curiosity to join our Analytics Solutions team. The team is a Consulting team and exists of professionals with different backgrounds and expertise, such as: real-world data, Biomedical Sciences, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, business, market research, data analytics, linguistics, and social psychology.

With our multidimensional solutions and offerings, we are dedicated to drive healthcare forward, together with stakeholders in healthcare. To increase our impact on healthcare, we would like to strengthen our Analytics Solutions team and are therefore looking for a passionate Healthcare Consultant with a curiosity and data driven mindset. Passion for improving healthcare and having a societal impact is a plus.

Within our team, we partner with commercial, medical and business insights teams in the life sciences sector (Pharmaceutical, MedTech and Consumer Health companies) to support them leveraging and interpreting data and make evidenced-based decisions for their strategy. In recent years, we have extended our partnership with other healthcare stakeholders, such as hospitals, patient organizations, government, healthcare insurers and healthcare researchers. Our team has a strong presence within the Dutch IQVIA organization and our Amsterdam office. Tasks and responsibilities

As a Healthcare Consultant, you will be responsible for the execution of our client projects in alignment with Senior Healthcare Consultants or Engagement Managers and supported by Healthcare Analysts. You will be in direct contact with our healthcare clients. You will execute/manage projects from kick-off to results in high quality deliverables including conclusions & recommendations.  You will be working in a high-paced, high-complexity environment where you will need to balance a combination of recurring and new projects in various disease areas working with various methodologies in rotating project teams. You are responsible for:

  • Execute projects under your care
    • Project management of the client projects under your care
    • Ensure the projects are delivered against deadlines and with high quality outputs
    • Ensure the relevant colleagues and expertise is present within the projects you manage
    • Write first draft conclusions and recommendations and align these with Senior Healthcare Consultants and Key Account Managers
    • Develop client relationships for deliveries under your care
    • Present results during client meetings
  • Manage multiple deadlines pro-actively and manage your own planning
  • Support with Business Development and proposal writing
  • Ask relevant questions internally and externally
  • You support the strategy and positioning of IQVIA by contributing to innovation initiatives (e.g. patient support, AI and Machine Learning, Social Intelligence, collaborations with hospitals or other third parties)

Required knowledge, skills & abilities

Formal qualifications and experience

  • MSc. or equivalent background in biomedical sciences, epidemiology, business, communication, healthcare or other potentially relevant backgrounds
  • ~2-5 years of work experience in healthcare institutions, consultancy, pharmaceutical or medtech industry
  • Proven track record in project management
  • Proven strength in data analytics
  • Affinity with consulting and client interactions
  • Healthcare market knowledge and experience is not required, affinity is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Spotfire, Power BI, MicroStrategy or other data visualization software is a plus
  • Fluent in Dutch and English

Based at our office in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost with the flexibility to work from home. You will join client meetings F2F or virtually.
